Arterial Venous Cannula

The Arterial Venus Cannula is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, disposable, single-use catheter designed for peripheral insertion. It is a single-lumen, over-the-needle device intended for placement in the radial artery. This cannula is indicated for patients who require continuous arterial blood pressure monitoring and repeated arterial blood gas sampling. Flexible wings are designed with 6 degree angle for better placement & insertion of the catheter on the body. Wings are specially treated to provide easy & secure fixation with the patient's skin. Catheter is kink resistant with improved double tapered, beveled & siliconized tip to minimize trauma during arterial puncture. The catheter tip is smooth, split free and tight. The catheter is radiopaque. Triple facetted back-cut & highly polished needle reduces penetration force and optimizes insertion performance. This hypodermic, sharp bevelled stainless steel (AISI 304) needle is siliconized to minimize the chance of inadvertent nerve damage. Flashback-chamber is clear and transparent to help visualize blood, which ensures successful arterial puncture. Needle-cover is ribbed, designed to avoid deformation, which could otherwise lead to needle damage.
