Chengdu NOVEL MEDICAL Equipment Ltd. was established in June 2011, co-founded by Hong Kong renowned industrialist Mr. Chao Kuang Piu and Tsinghua University. Leveraging on the world-class medical physics research of Tsinghua University, the company being the first in China has successfully launched clinical SPECT and SPECT/CT, preclinical micro PET/SPECT/CT, and radiation intelligent monitoring system, and remained its leading positions in these fields in China. The series of products have been applied nationwide, providing strong support for the development of radiation detection and molecular imaging industry. Since its establishment, NOVEL MEDICAL has been awarded numbers of honors such as "National high-tech enterprise", "National intellectual property advantage enterprise", and participated in more than 30 high level research projects. The company has obtained more than 300 intellectual property rights, including 4 international invention patents.
