Product Description
Embolism Detector
During IV therapy—including blood transfusions, saline, glutathione, vitamin C, and other applications—air can enter the patient’s vein when the fluid runs out due to positive pressure within the set. This situation can lead to a life-threatening air embolism.
Lifeguard instantly detects the presence of air within the set using an ultrasound-based air bubble sensor. Upon detection, an internal mechanical locking mechanism physically locks the tubing to stop the flow and eliminates the risk of embolism.
