Aktif Dis Ticaret was established in 1993 to serve in medical industry. The company started its trading activities initially by importing special devices which enable archieve documents to be transferred to electronic media and ensure recordingand storing of such in micro-films and presenting the products to Turkish user. Having served as a Turkey representative of globally known companies in field of radiolocigal accessories in 1995 and specialized on x-ray protection aprons, the company imported and distributed x-ray protection aprons to all around Turkey for a long while, and later, it has started to manufacturing of x-ray protection aprons with its own brand AKTIF X-RAY since 2002. The use of x-ray protection aprons is highly essential for human health in any field requiring radiological examinations, regardless of the x-ray dose. X-ray protection aprons are strictly obligatory for instituions related to protective equipment directive in every country at the licence stage of radiological imaging centers. Depending on the nature of service performed, clothes and equipment such as aprons, gonad shields, lead screen, thyroid collar, lead glasses etc. must be provided in high radiation areas, x-ray imaging centers and cardiologic units. In addition, radiographic examinations are among the diagnostic methods which are frequently used in dental clinics. The x-ray amount increases as the field of application varies. Digital technology of the recent years allows for use of low-dose ray in sensors. Nevertheless, protection is required for the personel serving at clinics where raiography is often required, and for patients who are sensitive to x-ray.
