Absorbable sutures are used in surgical operation to naturally discard suture from tissue with medical indication. Absorbable sutures have wide range of use including general surgery, veterinary surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, urology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, gynaecology, plastic surgery, and skin reconstruction surgery. Absorbable sutures of Boz Medical are manufactured in various forms including multifilament (braided), monofilament, coated, synthetic, and natural organic. Absorbable sutures are manufactured in our own manufacturing facilities with different size and for different needle needs. Sutures of Boz Medical complies with all requirements of American and European Pharmacopeia for absorbable sutures.

Non-absorbable sutures are among the most commonly used surgical operation sutures with their multifilament or monofilament structures. Non-absorbable sutures are easy to managed and can easily be bent or twisted. Non-absorbable sutures have high level tissue transition and perfect knot safety. Our surgical sutures are used in various surgical purposes such as palm, sole, mucosa, and intertriginous areas with soft and comfortable structure. In addition to dermatological surgery, these sutures are used in cardiovascular surgery, ophthalmalgia, and neurosurgery. These sutures have synthetic, nylon, steel wire, and natural types. Non-absorbable sutures are permanent and after surgical operation, a mini surgical operation is applied to remove these sutures from the body.

Hemostats are medical materials used for stopping major and minor bleeding after internal and external injuries, ruptures, splits, traumatic cuts, dental operations, surgical, or spontaneous interventions. These materials are also known as hemostatic agent, hemostatic plug, hemostatic matrix, styptic, and astringent.

Nonabsorbable meshes remain in the body indefinitely and are considered a permanent implant. It is used to provide permanent reinforcement in hernia cases. Absorbable patches break down over time and lose their strength. It is therefore not intended to provide long-term reinforcement. It is intended to give strength to the tissue until the tissue heals. The most commonly used patches today are prolene (polypropylene) patches used in hernia repairs.
